Recent projects include:

Step Up
(film and theatre project supported by Mediabox) Young people from the Polygon and Ironville youth centres in Derbyshire worked with Fifth Word and Film City Productions to create three short films and a live theatre production for the community.

Clued Up
(film project supported by DCC and Derbyshire Sexual health Promotion Service)
Sexual Health Awareness film produced in partnership with Fifth Word Theatre, Film City Productions, Derbyshire County Council and Derbyshire Sexual Health Promotion Service. The film was made with young people from the Amber Valley area of Derbyshire.

Upcoming Projects for 2012 include:

Escalate
(A community arts project to ignite ambition and training supported by Fairshare)
Escalate is designed to help young people gain accreditation and ignite interest in training and careers within the arts and media. Escalate will see young people develop skills in three creative practices and offer one to one tutorials with industry professionals to advise on areas such as C.V writing, confidence building, internship and work experience opportunities.

Something Old, Something New
(St. Martins Special school supported by Awards For All)
Fifth Word is working alongside St. Martins special school to deliver a community project in response to a move to a new build school. The project will challenge stereotypes held about young people with special needs and give these young people a chance to have their voices heard culminating in a celebratory event for the whole community.
